Bees have been fluttering in and out of the media eye a lot lately. To put it simply, they’re in trouble. Not just those friendly providers of delicious honey either, but all bees. Even when they aren’t producing tea-sweetening nectar, the work of the bees is vital to our food system. Pollination is what it’s all about, and it’s a huge job. Bees are, by far, the most efficient and economical ones for the job, but the way we run this world, well, it just isn’t particularly bee-friendly these days.
